About the project
KMT Chain is a dedicated blockchain built on the TON architecture and fully compatible with its tooling. The goal was an independent payment and digital-asset layer for web and gaming services, so users can hold their credit as KMT tokens, transfer it and spend it across the ecosystem.
The project started with generating the genesis block and configuring a validator node, and grew into six production services on separate domains, all served over HTTPS.
Architecture
Every service runs independently under its own systemd unit behind Nginx as a reverse proxy. The indexer reads chain data into PostgreSQL so the explorer and wallet can query transaction history quickly.
- Validator node: block production and finalisation with health and sync monitoring.
- Indexer and Index API: extracts transactions, accounts and tokens and serves a fast API to applications.
- KMT Connect: a wallet-to-dApp connection protocol (inspired by TonConnect) for signing transactions safely on the user side.
- Admin panel: node health, disk and memory, and start/stop/restart for every service, protected by authentication.
Challenges and solutions
In production, growing logs and the node database filled the disk. We fixed it with log rotation, a separate block-storage volume, and a migration of the node and PostgreSQL data verified byte-for-byte — without changing any service configuration.
Outcome
The explorer, wallet, exchange, token launchpad, NFT marketplace and admin panel now run on this chain, and the infrastructure is ready for new services.
